World Largest Bikini Parade held on 14th May, 2009 in Las Vegas. The parade was hosted by Holly Madison and the mayor of Las Vegas. It was followed by a retrospective swimwear fashion show from The Girls Next Door. Las Vegas has staged the world’s biggest bikini parade in an offer to revitalize the city’s drooping tourism industry. It contained a catwalk show with bathing suits from several different eras in bikini history.
The bikini world record attempt was in honor of the 50th anniversary of the iconic "Welcome to Las Vegas" neon sign that bids visitors to Sin City. More than 300 women participated in the Parade who wanted to participate in the parade were forced to submit a photo along with their measurements before they were approved. 281 women marched down Las Vegas Boulevard in the Guinness Book of World Records was held in history’s biggest bikini parade.
Madison and various other models took part in a pre-parade fashion show at the Las Vegas sign. Some 281 super hot women in super mini, teeny weeny bikinis paraded down the famous Las Vegas strip in the beautiful Nevada sunshine.
The mayor of America’s entertainment city also participated in the festivities, although remained fully clothed at all times
Cathy Tull, Senior Vice President of Marketing said Las Vegas has an very unique and vibrant pool culture that is not like any other in the world.
